Kunstmaler og stregtegner Hauge

Hc Hauge-Rasmussen laver flotte oliemalerier inspireret af den nordiske mytologi og de nordiske guder som Odin og Thor og den smukke freja.

Malerierne oser af stemning og er malet med olie maling. Hc bruger meget tid på forberedelsen af hans værker. Hans malerier er desuden fyldt med spændende tilføjelser, som den danske natur, fugle og andre nytænkende tiltag.

Hc hauge vil gerne udstille hans værker på diverse gallerier i Danmark, men branchen vil åbenbart kun se kedelig institutionskunst og abstrakte værker. Så indtil det ændrer sig, vil hc som Otto Frello forblive den ukendte maler “Hc Hauge-Rasmussen – Desværre!

Born 13/10 1969 in Denmark, Origin of the Vikings.

The beginning…

I have been drawing for as long as I can remember.

In the early years I was fascinated by american Fantasy artists, like Boris Vallejo, and an artist named Berni Wrightson, who mastered line drawing to perfection.

Painting

I started my first real painting in 1995, and back then surrealism was dominating most of my work and thinking, and at this point I was mostly inspired by H.R. Giger, Dali and other surreal artists. The first three years I painted acryllic on canvas. My focus was always on the figurative painting techniques, and over time I made room for classical motives, with Odd Nerdrum as the primary inspirational source.The surreal was sort of pushed to the background, but was often a part of the painting.

And it still is…

Technique

I always strive to improve my technique, and over the last years I have adopted part of the styles of the great masters like Rembrandt and Rubens. The techniques implies the use of thin transparent layers of oil paint, to create even more depth. When it comes to the surface and texture of the paintings, I often take a more modern approach using a spatula to create rougher strokes on e.g. clothing, mountains etc.

Northern Mythology – The undocumented heritage

I have always felt closely attached to my heritage – my Scandinavian roots.
Of course, the history of Vikings, raids, wars and pillage between the northern countries is a main part of the history at this time, but not much of this has been documented in the form of paintings. Lacking visual inspiration on this area, the visual interpretation of the characters has been up to me alone. And the more I focused on visualizing them in my mind, the somewhat obvious sceneries of war, great battles and warriors somehow became secondary in my paintings. I think that due to my feeling of being spiritually connected to my heritage, I have sought to portray the human side of the history and tell the story of the drama and intrigue told of in the Northern Mythology.
I cannot deny that once in a while a battle scene will sneek into a painting, but I find great joy in portraying the expression of the characters and keeping the painting simple, leaving a strong feeling of focus with the viewer.

Kunstnere eller kunstgruppe søges

Da jeg mener det er vigtigt hele tiden at udvikle sig og især sparre med andre kunstnere og udvide sit netværk, søger jeg som tilflytter til Århus omegn andre kunstnere eller kunstgruppe med samme lidenskab som jeg selv i tegning og maleriets navn. Det figurative univers I kan altid kigge forbi mit atalier i Farre ved Hammel, min dør står altid åben og der er kaffe på kanden.
